We’re coming out of the summer holidays and straight into an autumn/fall of maximum productivity with the release of the long-awaited Cycloid CLI.
Cycloid already makes it easier for everyone on the tech team to play an active role, with several features (StackForms, InfraView, StackCraft) specifically designed to give non-specialist profiles a better opportunity to see, understand, and interact with your company’s infra.

Processes, you can get from a book. Tools, you can buy, try, and even get for free. But people? Hmm, that’s where things get a little more difficult.

Shadow IT is a widespread problem and occurs in many IT departments. It’s not as serious a problem as others that can occur, but, depending on its extent and type, it can still cause serious problems.
Today, as part of our birthday series, we’re taking a look at Cycloid’s relationship with open source software and the greater open source community. It’s something really important to us and we’d like share some thoughts.

TL;DR
Today’s infrastructures are complex and inaccessible to everyone except the most technical profiles. This isn’t good for efficient teamwork. Infrastructure diagrams don’t work with modern infrastructures, so we’ve come up with an alternative called InfraView.
If you’ve recently moved into the world of DevOps and hybrid cloud, or are thinking of it, you’ll soon come into contact with infrastructure as code. It’s a mainstay of good DevOps practice, but it can be hard to get your head around if you’re not familiar with infrastructures in the first place.
