Cycloid team works on three connected activities:
- we develop Cycloid: a DevOps platform which integrates a service catalogue, a continuous integration, continuous delivery container pipeline, logs centralisation and tracking the Cloud cost.
- we provide services on AWS as your DevOps team: Design / Audit / Build / Migrate / Managed Services / DevOps As A Service
- we co-develop Cloud-ready application on Go / Vuejs with our customers.
We are splitting the work between people who have the same skills to break the monotony, share the knowledge and avoid that we get bored when we have to work on non-fancy things.
We develop and test our code, we don’t have people dedicated to writing tests, we believe that the same people who implement features, fix bugs, etc, must implement the tests. We do code reviews, we don’t merge into mainstream any substantial code without being reviewed and approved.
We take the time that we need to build useful products and provide great services.

We are a distributed remote company, which pay co-working place for people who needed and with an office in Paris. However, everyone at Cycloid meets once every quarter at our headquarters in France to define collectively the strategy/road map/features that coming in the next quarter. Then, everyone defines their own agenda and priorities that to achieve his own goal during the quarter.
We are fully transparent on revenues, salaries, metrics and believe that everybody should have the same variable plan doesn't matter the function.

You are a passionate SysOps, which is the most important, with a major expertise in Operations with troubleshooting. You believe that containers (Kubernetes & Docker) are the future but not only. Pacer, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus are well-known to you.
On the Ops side, you have a successful experience in a Cloud provider, certifications are preferred.
You love to design architecture, collaborate with developers to fix problems and provide long-term solutions. Providing service and automation on Cloud is a pleasure and with your experience, you understand why public cloud is the solution.
On the R&D side, you like to play with new technologies / Cloud services to implement it.
The main difference between a SysOps and a DevOps is that you have an experience in development and that you are able to contribute to Cycloid product roadmap.
In a SysOps position, you will work then 50% on services & 50% R&D to improve both your skills and break the monotony.
As we lunch the service in Israël, you are willing to work in remote or we can pay a co-working place if you need it. We will open then an office if needed. You will work, to start, as a freelance but exclusively and full-time for Cycloid. It is only the status who changes. You have the same advantages as everybody. Then, if we see the growth of the country, we will build a subsidiary.
Anyway, all the organization is in an asynchronous manner, keeping a good team culture through Slack and conference meetings. Every quarter we meet all in Paris to define the strategy.
You like to identify problems, are capable of commenting in a constructive, positive & open way to the team. Mindset is what is the most important.
You have adequate written and oral communication skills in English, any others languages would be a plus.
